Spirits, because their essence is only a fine semi-material substance, exist in a vast series of dimensions different from the physical world we are aware of. The most common of these dimensions are the astral planes. These planes are closest to our dimension and can be the lower astral which is a dim world full of unhappy spirits to what is commonly referred to as "Summerland" where most souls transition to after what we term "Death". It is important to understand that the spiritual and material worlds do not exist separately; rather, they exist simultaneously occupying the same space in the universe.
We are told by science that our senses are only capable of being aware of a very small segment of the world around us. Even with the most advanced tools we can only get tiny glimpses of the microscopic universe that we are a part of. It is only because of the limitations of our senses that we do not perceive the other dimensions that exist simultaneously with our world. Of course this does not mean that we do not posses at least the possibility of becoming aware of these other dimensions. In fact we each possess an added '6th sense' that once developed, often through meditation, we can be aware of so much more than we could ever imagine. I truly believe that once we are made aware of these other dimensions, the ability to perceive and tune in with them becomes significantly enhanced.

Most mediumship readings do not generally communicate wisdom from spiritual masters or advanced spirits from the realm of Spirit. A sitting with a Medium will be direct messages coming from a deceased person whom the sitter (the person requesting the reading) will recognize. Channeling, on the other hand, usually does bring forth wise and sensible messages from higher-plane entities. Channeled readings can stimulate a new level of soul growth and illumination. On occasions when our spirit-guides offer advice through a medium, most readings focus on communication from our deceased loved-ones. If you watch well known mediums on television, what you will witness are clear-cut messages from deceased loved-ones that supply confirmation of an afterlife—not messages conveying universal wisdom. Each gifted ability—mediumship and channeling—have their purpose and unique benefits. Neither is more important or impressive than the other. A reading with a psychic medium provides us with invaluable evidence that we survive death, that our deceased loved-ones still exist in the astral realms, and that our loved-ones in spirit are still love us and are watching over us from the other side.
Channeling requires a great deal of trust between the channel instrument and the Master Guide. Understand that authentic channels do not allow just any being to enter their body. Most establish a rapport with one special being, or at the most a few, who are given special permission to enter their body. The information channeled is positive in nature and is for the benefit of all. Until we have a “knowing” that this is true, we cannot fully gain from the channeled messages of advanced spiritual beings. Skepticism, however, minimal, will impede us from the full benefit of it and should be overcome. But once we have that special knowing, channeling can help us reach a new level of enlightenment.
On a further note, if either a mediumistic message or channeled message is given that does not vibrate in a positive manner with the receiver; it should be noted but examined. I tell my students, do not take any action unless they are sure on an intuitive level that this message, however enlightened, is the right message or action for them at the time. Discernment is most imperative in any contact with the higher realms.

With the recent sighting of a UFO by credible witnesses on Jan. 8, 2008 in Stephanville, TX, interest in UFO phenomena has brightly flared up once again. What's the big deal about hunting UFOs all of a sudden? If you ask me, intuitively I believe we are in for another increased wave of sightings.
Is it a coincidence that the History and Sci Fi channels each, have a new series airing about UFO hunters? Just a few days ago, the Travel Channel had what I consider a very well done documentary on UFO sightings in Sedona, Arizona. Sedona is considered very high in vortex energy and lay lines. According to the Native American Indians and mystics in the area, where these lines cross each other at a 90 degree angle like a grid, is where "Portal entrance points" to and from other dimensions can be accessed.
In March of 1997, a famous UFO light show (which became known as the "Phoenix Lights") sent a buzz around the world. Were these lights really from another world? A Phoenix city councilwoman asked for a formal investigation, and was assured it was nothing but flares dropped by military aircraft on an exercise. A lot of people didn't buy it and neither did I.
Arizona's former Governor, Fife Symington, put his own credibility on the line by flat out stating that the strange lights were really from out of this world and that he himself, had experienced a close encounter with a unexplainable type of craft on March 13, 1997.
Symington:
"I'm a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies. It was bigger than anything that I've ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it--responsible people. I don't know why people would ridicule it."

This is a questions I am often asked.
All of us have them. They are all around us if we could only perceive
them. Often confused with angels, they are souls who walk amongst us who are here to help, offer guidance, comfort, and yes - even advice. Just what are these spirits and where do they come from? They are what are known as Spirit Guides and they come from the Realm of Spirit, or the Other Side.
Spirit Guide, unlike an Angel, was once a human being, like you and I. They lived their life, performed their tasks, died, and crossed over to the Other Side. Some choose to come back, to reincarnate in a new life, in a new place. Others, however, make the choice to remain in Spirit so they can learn and spiritually advance while helping others still living to learn their life lessons. This is a Spirit Guide.
Spirit Guides, as former human beings, are well aware of the problems we face in our everyday mundane lives. They were once concerned with very similar matters. They tend to have their own special areas of expertise, often based on past personal experiences or careers they have had in a past life.
How man can we have?
At any given time, you could have as many as eight.
Your Spirit Guide, unlike your Guardian Angel, comes and goes in your life. A Guardian Angel is with you from birth until death. A Spirit Guide, on the other hand, comes into your life when an issue arises that falls under a guide's field of expertise. So, Spirit Guides often come and go, changing as the situations in your life change, and as you change and grow, you attract new guides to you. Some believe that we have a master guide who is with us from birth to death as well. I always think of these two guardian helpers as a team working together.
Your Spirit Guide is always there to help you. This is their sole purpose, to offer the living their help and guidance. However, as spirits, they operate on a higher vibrational frequency than mortals do, so the majority of us cannot see them, cannot hear them, and cannot sense their presence.
So, how do we know when a Spirit Guide is trying to make contact with us?
Unless you are fairly intuitive, most of us are not consciously aware of when a Guide attempts to make contact with us. Think of the random thoughts that occur to your throughout you day. Hmm, no, that's too much. What about the random thoughts that occur to you in just 3 minutes? Often it's a guide trying to communicate
Because I always felt somewhat different and very sensitive to the unseen mysteries of life, I was aware at a very young age there was so much more to this material world than we can see with our visual eyes. I instinctively knew that we live many life times, and that we are in reality, spiritual beings in a physical shell
When I began this journey into the unknown many years ago, there were few training facilities. And truthfully, I was a little afraid to explore and develop my gifts. Putting my trepidation aside, I began my journey at the Berkeley Psychic Institute in Berkeley, California. It was a long way to go, across the bridge to the East Bay from my home town in Palo Alto, but I persevered. During those years I also began studying astrology, about the angelic realms, how to contact my spirit guides, and past lives. I read every book available on the subjects and practiced as much as I could. As I continued to grow and expand my knowledge, paranormal events were happening at an accelerated rate in my life.
I moved to the southwest in the early eighties and met my first real mentor and teacher. She told me I would soon be doing intuitive counseling just as she was. I distinctly remember telling her, " This is just a side interest of mine and I think you must be mistaken." But, she insisted that I too would be doing readings for others. As it turns out, I have counseled hundreds and hundreds of people and worked in most facets of the intuitive arts field. This, coupled with a corporate career, has kept me very busy.
What I have found in my fascinating journey into the inner realms, is a new way of living and thinking. I have been able to experience life and its mysteries to its fullest and find wonder in all there is. The inner expansion and healing as result has been a phenomenal gift. And, I truly believe those individuals willing to explore and increase their potential like I did, have the opportunity to live a wonderfully enriched life by drawing from the limitless supply of amazing graces we've all been given.
